National Poetry Day

Judith Rodriguez, “I write poetry in order to live more fully.”
But our students in KSPS write poetry to understand and use language wisely.

It’s been almost a week and KSPS students are trying so hard to write different kinds of  poems, they have been widening their imagination and horizons to come up with a piece of art. They have become little poets and why not will become our future poets.
On this particular event, all our students from grades 2-6 wrote poems and from all of the marvelous poems we chose the best poet of the school and granted  the winner a handmade medal-like prize.

The Best Poet of KSPS 2012 is Nivine Omran (Grade 5)!

Congratulations Nivine and good luck KSPS students!

Our beautiful plants

Do you know that 40% of prescription drugs dispensed in the U.S. have active ingredients derived from plants? Do you know how to plant? Let us tell you. First we put some cotton or soil in a bowl, then we add water and seeds and put them in a place where there's sun. We, the second and third graders planted some seeds in order to see how plants grow and to help the environment by providing some fresh air. We'll keep you updated to see how we'll decorate our classroom with our beautiful healthy plants.

We Make Learning Fun!

Children learn best when they are having fun. Busy hands equal busy minds!
At Othman Thinnourain school we engage and entertain our little ones with hands-on activities that stimulate their minds and bodies. From building blocks and Lego sets, to arts and crafts, the opportunities are endless. We believe that our kids will learn more and enjoy education when they think it is rewarding, exciting, and engaging. Thats why our preschoolers and kindergartners have started to fall in love with learning from their first week!

Clovers Majestic Wishes

As the scholastic year started, KSPS students had their special dreams with them. Each student came with a majestic wish hoping to achieve it before the end of the year. Students jotted down their small wishes, believing that some will come true. This activity was performed using web 2.0 tool: Wall Wisher.

If you have any wish for KSPS Clovers, just double click on the wall to write it.
