British Council Projects

Date: Friday, December 3rd, 2010 Place: Habtoor Grand Hotel Time: 10:45- 12:30 Objective: The meeting was to discuss: - The projects' updates of the Connecting Classroom Project - The display corner that will be set-up for the UK partner school. - Elections for a students’ council - Big dance 2011 I) Connecting Classrooms We agreed that all schools have to complete at least one joint activity about food and nutrition and one local activity about children’s rights and responsibilities before March 15th2011. The exchange of the joint activity will be done through e-languages and by post (DHL) by 15 March 2011. - By the end of the academic year, schools have to complete the third activity and upload it on e-languages to share it with all the schools. II) Students Council Students Council have to be assigned by Friday 14 January 2011 and this council will be responsible in the first place to set-up a display corner for the partner school/country. III) Corner Display As for the corner display, we will have a place to display how much students know about the country in which our partner school is. Students could draw pictures, write poems or do an internet research. The aim of the corner display is to involve the whole school community in the partnership. IV) Big Dance 2011 Big Dance performance will be held on 20 May 2011 at 3:00 pm in our local time, but the location isn’t settled yet.
