Flat Stanley Project

Our friends at Sunset Elementary School in Craig, Colorado
Flat Stanley is a timeless children's book. Stanley becomes a half inch thick after a bulletin board accidentally falls on him. He is a creative boy and finds all kinds of advantages to being flat: sliding under doors, traveling by envelope and being a kite. The famous Flat Stanley is taking a trip around the world. After listening to the story, we made our own Flat Stanley project. He'll help us learn about other places and discover the world together. We'll send our Stanley to South Africa and then to Colorado and share his adventures with our families and friends. We'll also find the places that he visits on a map and discuss what we found out about these countries.

The idea of this project is really creative. I really loved it. Great! I always say that when it comes to being a "pioneer", Mrs. Rawya Shatila is the first that comes to my mind..

Rana, thank you so much...I only love those kinds of projects that motivate my students and help keep the classroom energized...that's it and nothing more!!!
You know, when I was reading the Flat Stanley story, some of the kids looked at the bulletin boards in the classroom and you can easily read their thoughts...hehehe
