Implementing Multiple Intelligences in Grade 6

Several activities were done to engage students in a lesson about ''Mitosis’’. Students were classified into 4 categories: Linguistic, Spatial, Musical, and Logical-Mathematical. Every group did a different activity: Linguistic students enjoyed transforming the lesson to a story titled: “I’m never tired’’. Spatial students enjoyed drawing the 6 stages of mitosis. Musical students enjoyed listening to songs about mitosis. The songs are found in: http://mrforde.blogspot.com/2008/01/mitosis-song.html http://www.molecularstation.com/science-videos/video/68/mitosis-cell-division-song/ Logical- Mathematical students calculated how many daughter cells are formed every day, week, month and year. Then they drew a bar graph.
